National Connections Academy: Accreditation

Accreditation

Accreditation by established accrediting bodies ensures that International Connections Academy’s programs, curriculum, and teachers meet and maintain high educational standards and that students’ work at iNaCA will be recognized by other schools and universities.

International Connections Academy is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA), the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI), and has provisional accreditation from the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC). These regional accrediting agencies for higher education institutions are recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the United States Department of Education.

Connections Education is accredited by AdvancED, an organization representing 27,000 public and private schools and districts across the United States and in 65 countries worldwide.

NCAA Approved Courses

In addition to our institution-wide accreditations, many Connections Academy core high school courses are approved by the NCAA Eligibility Center.

Beyond the Standards

In addition to re-accrediting Connections Academy in 2010, AdvancED awarded commendations for "certified, qualified teachers," an educational model that insists on "teachers who teach," "quality, technology-based instruction," "multiple, effective quality controls' and "highly responsive operational culture" that is 'focused on continual improvement."

As Connections Academy co-founder Barbara Dreyer observes, these commendations demonstrate "our openness to external review and feedback, and our desire to be the best we can be on behalf of the students we serve."
