Beyond the Standards
In addition to re-accrediting Connections Academy in 2010, Cognia, formerly AdvancED awarded commendations for "certified, qualified teachers," an educational model that insists on "teachers who teach," "quality, technology-based instruction," "multiple, effective quality controls' and "highly responsive operational culture" that is 'focused on continual improvement."
As Connections Academy co-founder Barbara Dreyer observes, these commendations demonstrate "our openness to external review and feedback, and our desire to be the best we can be on behalf of the students we serve."
